Social media is changing the face of war. Now we have people on the ground (on all sides) live-tweeting, live-instagraming, etc. the entire war effort. We no longer have to depend on journalists and reporters, we no longer have to depend on second-hand accounts. We now know the first-hand accounts simultaneously as the attacks are happening. This changes everything.
It’s similar to putting cameras on cops; there’s little to no grey area surrounding their actions. It is photographed, filmed, and recorded in live time.
